Welcome!

As the Dyslexia Therapist on campus, it is my goal to help students reach and exceed their academic goals, as well as encourage reading habits that support lifelong learning. I instruct students, both dyslexic and those that are not identified as dyslexic. I also collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to share current instructional practices to meet the specific reading needs of students. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about your child's reading.

The best way to become a better reader is to READ, READ, READ! It is important that students are able to choose what they want to read. Please help your child find fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, websites, and other reading materials that are of interest to them.

Independent reading at home should be on their reading level. If the material is frustrating, you can help by reading with or to your children, as needed. It is also very important to discuss what your children are reading. Be sure to ask questions often!!  I also will be encouraging them to use Learning Ally as a way to have books of their choosing read to them.  Please allow them to use this program to further their vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.

I appreciate you sharing your kiddos with me and look forward to us building a partnership to assist them in their learning.
